The Mexican Spotted Owl

This won't be a long post with text, but I will post many pictures of this post's highlight bird, the Mexican Spotted Owl.  I got to see this pair of Spotted Owls in southeastern Arizona's Huachuca Mountains.  It was an awesome sighting for me, because it was the first time I have ever gotten to see a pair of adult Spotted Owls sitting together.  This species is highly fearless around man, despite their threatened status.  I took a few minutes out of my busy day of birding to enjoy this epic bird, a favorite of mine.

Spotted Owls are great.  Anytime I'm in Spotted Owl habitat, that means other good birds are bound to be present too...
